CTE, Uttarakhand Chapter has been functioning since 30 April 2007 in the state.Under leadership of Dr. Jyotsana Saxena, first President & Dr. Suresh Chandra Pachauri, Secretary- CTE,UK, several educational events were carried out successfully. Later, in June, 2012 Dr. Savita Rawat took over the position of State President and followed the glorious tradition of educational journey. CTE,UK had organized National Seminars, workshops, interactive meet among Teacher Educators, publication of News letter and Journal, CTE,UK is under process. The State chapter is working in the direction to collaborate with group of progressive colleges of Uttrakhand for future educational programmes. In addition, CTE, Uttarakhand Chapter is aspirant to carry out various innovative and interesting programmes CTE Journal –“Educational Vision “ and arranging competitions like paper writing for research scholars and teacher educators of the state as well. In each edition the best two papers will be given award. The office bearer of the council are starting CTE e- News letter on our web –portal which will keep our readers update with the changes in the world of Teacher Education and will also share the activities conducted by the other state chapters. I promise that CTE, Uttarkhand Chapter will become a platform to strengthen the teacher education programme in Uttarkhand Chapter.
